*The PlayStation Store Halloween sale lasts from 19 October – 2 November 2017.

The Wolf Among Us £3.99/£19.99

Wolf Among Us

  • A phenomenal price for a phenomenal story-driven game from Telltale. Adapting the acclaimed Fables comic/graphic novel series, the gameplay is light but the narrative more than makes up for it in this gritty re-imagining of fairy tale monsters living in the modern world.

Alien: Isolation – The Collection — £7.99/£49.99

Alien Isolation

  • Amongst a number of horror-themed games befitting the upcoming Halloween season, Alien: Isolation remains one of the scariest games in recent memory. If you’re looking for a tense and unique horror experience, look no further. This collection includes the base game and seven packs of DLC content.

Outlast £4.99/£15.49

Horror game

  • Another acclaimed indie horror game that will scare the stuffing out of you this Halloween. It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you enjoy being psychologically scarred, pick it up!

Dead Rising 2 — £6.49/£15.99

Zombie horror

  • Zombie slaying madness. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a Capcom take on the zombie genre. Dead Rising 2 is quirky and irreverent whilst still being genuinely horrifying at times, and builds upon the first game to deliver a better experience.
  • Arcade-style zombie destruction as you wipe out literal hordes, craft new insane weapons, run around in goofy outfits and encounter deranged psychopaths intent on watching the world burn.

The Evil Within £6.49/£15.99

Survival Horror

  • With a well-reviewed sequel released late last week, now’s the perfect time to jump into the original survival horror game directed by Shinji Mikami, of Resident Evil fame. Speaking of which…

Resident Evil 4 £8.99/£15.99

Leon Kennedy

  • While about half of the zombie survival horror RE series aptly features in this Halloween sale, Resident Evil 4 was a high point for the series. If you haven’t played it yet, this HD remaster is the perfect entry point to one of the defining titles in the modern video game horror genre.

Darksiders: Fury’s Collection – War and Death £8.99/£34.99

Four Horsemen

  • In the run-up to the release of Darksiders 3, this collection gives players the opportunity to play through the first two games for a pittance. Darksiders is a fantastic franchise that seemed to fly under the radar upon release.
  • A unique art style, great Metroidvania/Zelda-like gameplay and action-RPG mechanics wrapped up in a lore-filled world of angels, demons, and the horsemen of the apocalypse.

Divinity: Original Sin – Enhanced Edition £9.79/£34.99

Classic RPG

  • The most expensive game on this list – and yet it’s an absolute steal for this fantastic top-down RPG in the vein of Baldur’s Gate.

Wolfenstein: The New Order £3.99/£14.99

  • The New Order surprised us with its quality shooter gameplay in 2014, over two decades since the iconic Wolfenstein 3D all but invented the FPS genre.
  • One of the better single player FPS’s in recent times.
  • Well timed with sequel The New Colossus releasing October 27th.

Lords of the Fallen – Complete Edition — £3.99/£24.99

  • Souls-like that received ire from fans for not being Dark Souls. Whilst it’s not perfect, I really enjoyed my time with Deck13’s hardcore A-RPG.
  • You can’t go wrong for the sale price.
